After post-graduation from Guwahati Medical College, he stated his carrier at Pratiksha hospital as resident consultant. In the initial phase of his career in ENT surgery he often visited rural hospitals in different parts of Assam. He had the primary contribution in establishing super-speciality ENT care at Pratiksha with all modern equipment. He simultaneously brought in place a full-fledged department of Audiology and Speech-Language therapy.

 

In 2014, he started the Cochlear Implant program which integrated both surgical as well as post-surgical audiological and therapy services. More than 30 paediatric cochlear implant surgery has been performed under the program till date. For poor patient the center is empaneled for free cochlear implant under ADIP scheme. The center is credited for first simultaneous bilateral implant in North East.  He is also founder of paediatric airway department where regular Bronchoscopic evaluation and intervention of newborn child as well as adult is performed regularly.

• Organizing secretary of ENT update 2013, oraganized by Pratiksha Hospital. 1st Cadaver workshop on Skull base surgery in North East. Resourse person were Dr Satish Jain from Jaipur, Prof. K P Morwani from Mumbai and Dr Madhuri Mehta from Hissar.
