It is the first Fetal Medicine Unit in the entire North Eastern region to start with under the flagship of Pratiksha Hospital.
 
It is a new concept and is a super speciality branch of Obstetrics & Gynaecology available only in few centres in India. It deals with prenatal screening to detect the possibility of chromosomal abnormalities in the babies or babies with major defects, incompatible with life / disability after birth.
 
It is our attempt to serve the pregnant women with an updated knowledge and skilled antenatal diagnostic and therapeutic treatment modalities.

       The department provides the following services.
 
  1. Fetal Ultrasound : Viability, NT, Anomaly , Growth and fetal well being scan
  2. First trimester screening :  { NT scan + Double marker (FMF Accreddated lab) }
  3. Fetal ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY 
  4. 3 D & 4D scan 
  5. Invasive Procedures: CVS, Amniocentesis, Fetal blood Sampling
  6. Intra uterine vascular or peritoneal transfusion 
  7. Non Invasive Cell free Fetal DNA test
  8. Serum screening by UKNQAS accredited lab – Quadruple test
  9. Pre pregnancy Counselling
  10. Counselling for pregnancy and fetal complications
