Dr.Milind Gajewar graduated in 1996 and qualified as Orthopaedic Surgeon (MS Trauma and Orthopaedics) in 1999, from B.J.Medical college, Pune University. In year 2000, Dr. Gajewar passed DNB examination successfully. For next 2 years he worked at Naik Hospital, Pune and Lecturer at B. J. Medical college, Pune. 

 

He migrated to United Kingdom in 2002 to work and obtain further training in NHS. During early years of UK training, he successfully passed MRCS Ed from Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2005 and MRCSI from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005.

 

In 2007 he was appointed as a Registrar in Trauma and Orthopaedics at London and later at Brighton. He obtained training in various hospitals in south east of England and gained experience in various sub-specialities like Hand, spine, paediatrics, Trauma, Shoulder Surgery, Joint Replacement and foot and ankle surgery.

 

He completed his FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics), intercollegiate speciality board exam in 2012. Dr. Gajewar is on the GMC’s Specialist Register as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.

 

He has performed several  joint replacement surgeries, complex trauma surgeries, hand, shoulder. He gained skills in shoulder, knee and ankle arthroscopy. He has performed significant number of surgeries during his major trauma fellowship at Brighton. Foot and ankle fellowship at Brighton and Epsom made him competent to manage all foot and ankle conditions. During fellowship he gained experience in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery. 

 

He has always kept himself up to date with courses like AO and ATLS, conferences, presentations. He has been regularly teaching various students and had yearly appraisals.

 

He had worked as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at North Tees and Hartlepool University Hospital UK, before returning to India in 2018. He has more than 20 years of experience in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.

 

After returning to India he is currently attached to following hospitals :

• Sportsmed Mumbai, Parel.
• Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune.
